The city of light

A city escape for two

Málaga blends Andalusian soul with cosmopolitan ease — Moorish fortresses, the Picasso quarter, sun-warmed plazas and the rhythm of the Mediterranean. After a day in the old town, slip away into a private suite that is yours alone.

Our Málaga suite draws on the city's hammam heritage: steam, aromatic warmth, candlelit water and rituals rooted in centuries of bathing culture. No shared spaces, no clock-watching strangers — only calm, warmth and each other.

Málaga, the private way

Málaga is a city best read on foot. The Centro Histórico folds the cathedral quarter, the marble paving of Calle Larios and a tangle of tapas lanes into a few hundred metres; Soho, just south of the Alameda, swaps them for murals, galleries and quieter terraces; and past the port, La Malagueta opens into the first proper city beach. Keep heading east and the streets loosen into Pedregalejo and El Palo — low houses of the old fishing quarters, chiringuitos and boats drawn up on the sand. Each district keeps its own tempo, and a private suite lets you set yours.

Bathing is nothing new here. In the centuries of Al-Andalus, Málaga's neighbourhoods were organised around public baths — warm rooms, cold rooms, steam and the unhurried ritual of scrubbing, sweating and resting. Today's Arab-style hammams keep that liturgy alive, but they remain shared spaces: fixed circuits, timed turns, other bathers a few metres away. A Spafindo suite takes the same elements — steam, heat, water, silence — and closes the door behind you. Sauna, steam room and pool are yours alone, and nobody is waiting for the next turn.

The best hour is the one that sits between two good plans. Late afternoon after a slow lap of the Picasso Museum or the Alcazaba, when the marble in the centre still holds the day's warmth; early evening before a table on or around Calle Larios, so you arrive at dinner loose-shouldered and unhurried; or a Sunday morning, when the seafront is at its quietest. Sessions run 90 minutes — long enough for a full cycle of sauna, steam and cooling down, and you still have the evening ahead of you.

Málaga spa questions

How do we get to the suite from the station or the airport?
The suite sits close to the centre, so the simplest way is to walk from the old town or the port. From María Zambrano, the main railway and AVE station, it is a short taxi ride or around 20 minutes on foot; from the airport, allow roughly 15–20 minutes by taxi or take the suburban train into the city. Exact directions appear on the venue page once you have chosen your slot.
Can we book an evening session in Málaga?
Yes. Evening slots are shown on the venue page alongside daytime ones; weekend evenings tend to go first, so book ahead if you are pairing the session with dinner in the centre. Confirmation is instant, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start.
What does a 90-minute private session include?
The entire suite, reserved for your party only — typically sauna, steam room and a private pool, with robes and water waiting when you arrive. There is no shared circuit and there are no other bathers: the 90 minutes are yours to pace as you like, whether that means three rounds of sauna and cold water or an hour of steam and silence. Prices run from 105 € to 165 € per session for the whole suite, for two to four guests, never per person. Extras such as rituals or drinks are listed on each venue page.
Which occasions suit a private spa in Málaga?
Anniversaries and birthdays are the classics, but the suite also works for a first weekend away together, a discreet proposal, the morning after a wedding on the coast or, simply, a Tuesday that needs rescuing. Because the space takes two to four guests, it suits a couple just as well as two close friends who want the sauna to themselves. And if you would rather give the hour than plan it, gift vouchers are available.
